Boats.net Not a big fan

On May 7th I ordered a couple of parts for my Mercury 3.3 outboard and paid for Fed Ex fast shipping

After several days , not having heard anything , I called and was informed that several parts where in Back order
First I would appreciate if the web site would have mentioned "unavailable parts" I would have ordered from other sites.
Then With Boats .net it seems that if you want info regarding your order then you need to call ( and wait 20 minutes for someone to answer!)
Anyway I called 3 times and was promised 3 different shipping dates
After 7 weeks and too much time spend on calls , I still have not received these parts

Is this unusual or is it a common attitude with this site ? Anyone have the same problems ? What can I do ? Any recommendation ? Where do you order Mercury parts online? Thanks
Note : I have been rowing a lot lately and my wife says I am now in great shape Maybe I should dump the outboard !

Most internet "companies" are not stocking the stuff ordered. I'd suggest you cancel the transaction and deal with a local outboard shop or one that others recommend

I can understand that with today's economy , sales companies do not keep a large inventory . Most online seller such as Sailrite or Defender would mention when items are out of stock and in general will delay shipping by a week a most


I am quite upset with a 7 weeks delay but mostly because Boats .net has the poorest customer service I have ever seen !
- Never answer my emails
- Average 20 minutes waiting time when I call
- Multiple promises of shipping dates

Foe outboard motors parts , which on line seller do you guys work with and would recommend
