Where to hang the lifebuoy?

Being without a stern pulpit, has anyone got any bright ideas about where to put our attractive bright orange lifebuoy? Was doublehanding yesterday and thinking I wouldn't want to have to leave the helm to go fetch it from inside.

One idea I had was to hang it from the mizzen shrouds...

Sorry about the pic quality, I have to bring my camera up next time. No I don't know why I hanked on the storm jib
