That's really bad news. I was thinking of using tictac instruments, but I made a solemn vow years ago to never let Raymarine products on my boat.

Can you expand (expound?) on that? I only have experience with a Ray C80 plotter and associated wind/speed/depth. The only bad I have experienced is the depth goes wonky and jumps around sometimes.

The plotter is magical.

These are on a friends Hunter 38.

I thought Raymarine had financial troubles. wonder if there was any cash involved or just a stock deal.

I agree. Raymarine products and customer service are the pits. I have had more failures with raymarine products then any other. Their autopilots are the pits. Their customer service is about as bad as it gets..............assuming of course that you actually talk to a live human when you call in.

This is really sad news for owners of Tacktick products. I specifically bought TackTick rather than Raymarine. Now I'm stuck with "Raycrap" on my boat. Anyone wanna buy my 3 year old tacktick instruments?

Funny. I have heard bad things about Navman and a lot of problems with Tack Tick and nothing but good about Raymarine. I guess it is just who you talk to and what you are predisposed to believe.
