Removing Monitor Wind Vane Steering

I''m going to remove the Monitor Windvane Steering that the P.O. installed so that I can us the davits. I''ll have to remove 16 bolts that hold 4 brackets. The hull of my 1976 Pearson P 365 is solid fiberglass; no core. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I should do to the holes which will remain?
Also, is anyone interested in buying the Monitor unit?
Any suggestions, tips, warnings, opinions gratefully accepted.

"V" out the holes using a countersink bit or a larger bit.
Use some "Bondo", if you like use the more expensive MARINE FILLER and search around to get some with a hardener close to the color of your hull. Cut off the excess bondo with a sharp wood chisel and sand it smooth with a fairly fine sandpaper, being careful not to mess up the finish on the surounding area.

Do you still have the monitor? What kind of condition is it in and how much do you want for it? I own a Dreadnaught 32 and looking for one to cruise with

The cost of a new Monitor unit (as listed on their website) with the wheel optional equipment and freight is about $3800.00.
I think $2500.00 is a fair price.
I have not used the unit. Janussea was on the hard for almost 2 years when I bought her. The "P.O." had cruised for 2 years prior to that. I guess it''s about 4 to 5 years old. It appears to be in good shape, only needing some polishing and some TLC.
I have the unit in my basement in Chester County, PA near Philadelphia.
