Assymetric for a Pearson 10M
Have a Pearson 10M and want to understand how easy it is to hook up an asymmetric kite. My boat has a traditional spinnaker set up, but I do not use since the pole is heavy and my wife isn't keen on trying it becasue she has seen the "broach" videos and is absolutely 100% against try to fly it.
I think I could get her to sail a Asymmetric.
The Pearson 10M does not have a bow sprit and I am not keen on installing one. It has a heavy duty one piece bow pulpit that extends far away from the actual bow that may make installing a device for the sail tack, challenging.
Can I use a heavy duty block for the tack line and secure it to the forestay deck mount with either a shackle or d-ring? Any other approaches?
Thanks.
