Shipmate Kerosene Stove/Oven not working

Help.

A few days ago we ran the Shipmate oven/stove and it was fine. Today I get on the boat and want to boil some water, and I cannot get pressure into the tank. But, like I said, a few days ago it worked great and nothing has been done to it since. My only guess is that there's some kind of leak? I've got the burners turned CW all the way to closed. Or could it be just a fuel shortage? Any advice is welcome.

UPDATE: I figured it out. I had to TURN ON THE BATTERY! What a blonde moment! How do I delete this post?

CK,
Why do you need a battery to light a kerosene stove ? I guess the pump is electric ? Never seen that but then the only kero/metho/alcohol stoves I have owned only laste d as long as it took to get LPG.

ps - if you want to delete the post, hit edit and you'll see a delete option. If you can't work it out let me know and I can do it for you.

mitiempo will become famous soon enough
All the kerosene stoves and heaters I have owned used a bicycle pump for pressurizing the tank. I've never seen an electric one either.

mitiempo, tdw,
Mine can be pumped up with a bike pump, too. I just don't have one on board yet!

tdw,
Okay, maybe I'm just a stupid head, but I cannot see a delete option when I got to the edit screen.

Don't be too hard on yourself! You can delete posts, but you cannot delete a thread which is what you are trying to do. You should send a PM to a moderator to do this for you!
