A big thanks to Knothead

Knothead has done a few you tube videos on endless splicing and other rope work and after a bunch of practice runs in the basement it was time to do it on the boat to the exact correct length on my Stoboom

The line was about 24' long and had to be done in place because of all the blocks and the difficulty of trying to take apart the boom

A nice tight crossover with some well hidden lock stitching to keep it toghter

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat

Any links to these youtube videos? I'm really, REALLY bad at double braid splicing.

I'm another beneficiary of Knothead's videos. Did my original continuous loop furler line using his video as a guide a few years ago. When I went to shorten the line a bit this year, I needed the video again! Some stuff just doesn't sink in.
