Boat yards in Galveston

I am moving a Out Island 51 from San Fran to Galveston TX by truck. I sure would like some input as to who to use in Galveston to put the sticks back on-board. I would also like to do a little work on them in the yard before they go up.
thanks
T

I had my boat, a Kalik 44, trucked from Dana Point California to Clear Lake Texas. The yards in Galveston are scarry. One guy is a rip off artist and the other is new in the business. Clear Lake is just 25 miles north. South Texas Yacht Service, Mark Grinstead, took care of me. His phone is 281.474.SAIL.

They have a web site? It is possible I may end up in that area (which I am clueless about), so any additional info would be beneficial - rates, services, provisioning, advice, etc.

Try Kevin at Stix N Riggin. He is honest and well regarded. He is doing the work on my Morgan designed and built Heritage Wet Indies. You will find that 98% of the boats (10,000+) are docked in Clear Lake, not Galveston.

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me what the zip of clear lake is because I am having trouble finding it on mapquest and the phone number for South Tx Yacht Service is no good.
Thanks
Tom
