After 19 years of feet dry, the Lady J launches...

The day finally arrived and the "Lady J", K-40 hull number, went feet wet for the first time in 19 years. She seeped at about 1000 Gals an hour for the first thrity minutes and then took up rapidly. Twelve hours after launch, the water in the bilges had dropped below the pumps. As good as she looked on the hard, the sight of her in the water was amazing.

Here's a slideshow and a couple of pics.

Thanks. What I have trouble believing is that she's already drying up in the bilge.

beautiful! Congratulations on all the hard work. Can't wait until I get to experience the splashing of my Windsong.

It was worth the 19 year wait - gorgeous.

I, myself, personally intend to continue being outspoken and opinionated, intolerant of all fanatics, fools and ignoramuses, deeply suspicious of all those who have "found the answer" and on my bad days, downright rude.

Can you give some details? Was this a rebuild or a new boat? Where will she sail?
She looks great.
