What is a Tilley?

In the nearly 6 months that I've owned this boat, I have yet to figure out what this switch sends power to. Commence to hazing the newbie.

Do you, by chance, have a cash register on the boat?

With these answers I think you are better off to trace the wires and find out what it really is.

Given the spelling and abbreviations used on your electrical panel I'd also guess that might be for a tiller pilot (autopilot). Here's a stretch, it could also be a switch to a solenoid switch for your stoves propane stove (if you have one). Tilley != Galley but it is close.
Trace the wires from the back of the panel and find out where the heck they go.
I met a dog named Tilley once long ago.

Okay- The galley solenoid is powered by the LPG which is on another panel. There was an autopilot DC spigot in the cockpit that PO took with him. I'm going to assume that's the answer. Thanks for all the brilliance- especially the guy who suggest I follow wires! Follow wires? Why work when I can subject myself to endless ridicule on SailNet?
SHNOOL and SloopJonB like this.

Am I the only one on this forum who wiggles into the lazarette, holds a multimeter in one hand, a screwdriver in the other hand, and a flashlight in his mouth, turns himself into something resembling a circus contortionist, and just traces the damned wire when he has a question like this?
