peterchech is on a distinguished road
rustoleum for keel bolts

My bilge is never completely dry, and the keel bolts are almost always immersed in about 1/2 inch of rainwater that leaked in. Coming from a multihull background, I have a paranoia about keels falling off. The bolts aren't rusty, just a couple flakes here and there, but I am concerned about steels potential for aneorobic corrosion. Is there any reason not to coat the bolts with rustoleum, just for peace of mind?

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat
