I like Cajunrope.com. Quick shipping, the price was right, and most importantly, they the rope was well made.

Find the best price you can for New England Rope in the size and braid you want. Learn how to splice. Take the shackle off your existing halyard and splice it onto the new halyard. Back splice the other end.

Best halyard you will ever own, and you won't ever be intimidated by rope again.

I've had several halyards made up by Defender. Good prices and good service.

these guys are pretty good:

Marine, Industrial items in Discount Rope and Line store on eBay!

this guy is pretty good too, but the selection tends to be on the random side, but worth checking with:

Slalom Water Skis, Wakeboard Ropes and handles items in bargainwatersports store on eBay!

Bob at "Discount Rope and Line" on E-bay is good.

Marine, Industrial items in Discount Rope and Line store on eBay!

He doesn't splice though.
I bought some line which I later decided to change - he was totally cool with it - even paid the return shipping.

I bought my new running rigging at R&W Rope ...

I shopped hard and they are knowledgeable ... friendly ... competative pricing and delivered on time as promised ...

I will second r&w rope. good service, good prices especially if you get some of their remnants. My 65' halyard was from remnants and was 20% cheaper because of it.
