Find the best price you can for New England Rope in the size and braid you want. Learn how to splice. Take the shackle off your existing halyard and splice it onto the new halyard. Back splice the other end.

I will second r&w rope. good service, good prices especially if you get some of their remnants. My 65' halyard was from remnants and was 20% cheaper because of it.
