Hobie Mono-Cat Hull Repair

Greetings everyone, I just picked up an 18'' Hobie Mono-Cat hull that I am turning into a dive boat, have a couple of hull fractures about 12" on the bottom I need to repair, I''m handy with tools and fiberglass, looking for some info on the right way to repair these fractures, can i just sand/fiberglass over, or is there more to it? Thanx for any info, cheers! zeNN
