new fridge box - what finish for interior?
I'm building a fridge box for Hello World. I've finished the fiberglassing on the interior of the box and I'm ready to put a finish on. I was planning on using epoxy mixed with white pigment to finish the walls but it's not going well. Coverage is not great and I get a lot of air bubbles. Does anyone have a better recommendation on a food safe finish that will adhere to cured fiberglass laid up with epoxy. I'm assuming gelcoats won't adhere to an epoxy layup. Is that true?

For anyone researching this issue, here's what I ended up doing:
Fridge Box Construction

The short version, I used lots of coats of pigmented epoxy which I then faired down, sanded, wet sanded and polished. Came out looking gelcoat. Glossy. No odors.

Nice job Jason. I can almost taste that cold beer!

I am currently working on rebedding the chain plates on Carina.

Thanks Tim! If you're in the neighborhood, stop by for a beer. :)

Please let me know how the chain plates project goes. We're going to do that this spring.
