Lets see.... With a favorable tide I've done 10.5kts over the ground in the Bellingham Channel, and my marina is at the base of said channel. Heck, I could be there in the morning!

This year's boat budget was going to go to the canvas man. Perhaps now it won't....

PM sent.

I have a sauna on my boat, therefore I win.

Last boat in under the WS. Once this one's booked along with the one coming from Chicago, the rate goes to $40, which is still less than half what others charge...

This special is officially over. Thanks to the five boats that took advantage of this deal.

Re: Winter Special for Sailnet Members.

Frankly Charlie, at $40/man hour - to get work preformed by someone with a clue - this is STILL a great deal!

Not good enough for me to truck my boat from RI, but pretty damn good!

Re: Winter Special for Sailnet Members.

$32 an hour...Wow, Charlie, compared to some places...You might want to Fedex those guys out to jobs on the East coast as well. Great offer, hope some folks take advanage of it.

Re: Winter Special for Sailnet Members.

I've really enjoyed some of your posts, so I'm reluctant to point out that this is advertising.

I manufacture a product for sailors. Have attended major boat shows and have the product available online. I've been terribly tempted to mention it on Sailnet, particularly in these troubled times, but have not.

Advertising doesn't belong here. Open the door a crack and it swings wide open.

Re: Winter Special for Sailnet Members.

Siamese, while I understand your position, I contacted SN prior to the initial posting and cleared it with them. They agreed with my thought that in these crappy times, we all need a bit of help. Both us at the shop and the members out there.

I will be posting up some threads showing the work as always. Some of it is interesting..

Re: Winter Special for Sailnet Members.

Siamese,

Some of the better threads come about when the manufacturers/pros post...even with regard to their own product, as long as it is pertinent to the discussion. If you reveal your affiliation, I don't think the mods have a problem as long as you don't launch a spam campaign.

YMMV
