Question Mercury 310 PVC RIB

I'm close to buying this dinghy from Defender. Does anyone have any information good or bad about Mercury RIB's in general and/or the 310 PVC RIB in particular. Defender is offering a 2011 for about $300.00 less than West Marine's 310. About $200.00 less than their own Defender brand RIB. Thanks for any help you can give me.
