50 HP is really a bit much. I would worry about the strength of the transom. why not use the 5 hp OB it should work fine. if you do look for a 8 to 10 HP you will want to look for a long shaft model. the deeper the prop the better it will handle large chop and waves if you are sailing on a large body of water.
