Enders Alcohol stove

Hi everyone

I have an 2 burner ENDERS alcohol stove on my Beneteau F26.
The other day when it finally reached the top of the To-Do list, after cleaning all the dirt dauber mud chunks off of it, I decided to give it a try.

Now I must confess - I have no clue how this thing is supposed to work.
I poured alcohol in the container, opened the fuel control valve and applied fire
Well nothing happened - except when I canted the whole contraption forward, to "get some fuel flowing" Flames ok!!!

By the way - I did remove the stove from the boat first - did this in a safe open area (of course it would have been pretty cold if I had to use my escape route - straight into the lake )

The thing is, just about immediately the fuel would burn away and it would die.

I presume something is blocked?

How am I supposed to light this thing off? Anyone have a manual for this stove?
