Pump gasket repair.

I have an old 12V water pump. The only thing wrong with it is a small tear in a flat rubber diaphram that allows water to leak past and prevents the pump from producing pressure. The replacement kit for the gaskets and rubber parts is about the same as buying an inexpensive Jabsco replacement.

Is there a liquid gasket maker that would work to seal it? Is there one suitable for fresh (drinking) water?

sometimes its better to just bite the bullet,i know of no liquid that would work for long

Those diaphragms get worked pretty hard.. if you don't want to change out the pump you'll need a new diaphragm.. if you want to change the pump, do so. Either way you're paying the price. Be careful that you're not downgrading to an inferior pump for the sake of 'new'.
