Flying an oversized spinaker
Hey all,
I searched the message boards quickly here but couldn't find what I was looking for. After a quick google seach to no avail I've decided to post my question.
I bought a 1977 Buccaneer 200. She came in excellant condition with main, jib, 150% genoa and a symetrical spinaker. I've never sailed with a spin before but I ordered the parts to set up the rig. I plan to add a sock but I'd like to see how this turns out...My I and J dimensions are 25.8' and 8.0'. The spinaker that came with the boat has a luff of 33.25' and a foot of 17.3'...
I'm aware that this sail is a bit ( ) oversized...What's going to happen when I deploy this cargo-sized 'chute?
Thanks,
Matt
