You own a Lewmar Folding Wheel

I am stuck. I have been doing a lot of work on a Morgan 382 trying to bring her back to life. This included a new steering system which left me with a 40" Lewmar Folding Wheel that's basically worthless to the boat. The binnacle I installed has a tapered shaft and the wheel has the straight shaft.
Do you have the tapered hub laying around? They ship with both, and your boat only needed the straight hub. I am in the bay area but happy to purchase this from you.

Have you tried calling Lewmar about the part? Should not be that expensive...

I have a new Lewmar 8 spoke 40" NON-folding leather wrapped wheel with a tapered hub - trade? (I want to use it on an Edson shaft)

One thing to consider - at least on my wheel, the spokes are tack welded to the back 1/2 of the hub. Is this not the case with the folders? They are just little dots of weld so would be easy enough to cut I suppose.

Thanks. Yes i did call them. After several calls, matter of fact, they do not have the part. They only ship them complete with both hubs.

I may want to do a trade if i cant find the hub.

This has been resolved. I was contacted by a local who had the part.

Do you still have the straight hub? I just bought a 32" wheel at a scratch and dent sale. It only has the tapered hub. Are you interested in a trade/sale? I'm in Miami, FL, so we'd have to work out shipping.
