I claim no expertise but I try (have to). Is any one familiar with the o ring which fits between the electric motor and shaft on the above? The joint between the two pieces according to the disassembly diagram has a wider screw thing that joins the two pieces then a smaller interrupted screw threaded bit with gaps.
Instead of spending a not insignificant amount of money on obsolete gear I thought I would check the basics. Hmm.
Despite being careful not to lose any parts the O ring seemed to be missing. Oddly a metre away was a what I would call a washer square sided about 3 mm thick and about 5 mm difference between internal and external diameter more or less.
I don't have such bits lying around but it isn't what I would call an o ring part no 10 on the diagram although I know parts jump and hide from naiive owners. Anyone any knowledge of this o ring and where it fits? The corrosion suggests it was omitted by the po.
