Got My Rub Rails on...Finally
Rub Rails were pretty well shot when I got the boat...I don't think they were "original", but have been on the boat for some time...
I made up new ones from Cumaru wood...a South American hardwood similar to Ipe and colored like Teak...Picked it up in a couple of 5/4"x6" ($60) deck boards and a little work with the table saw and router and I had the pieces ready to go...
Couple coats of Cetol Natural brought them to color...
And now that Deck is painted I installed with SS screws and a dab of sealant each...Used a double Rope, whipped on ends and sewn together, attached with 5200 to make the "corners" and Bow cap...
Whole Project, Grab Rails and Rub Rails under $100..
