Swing Keel repair

I recently purchased a 1978 Macgregor 25. The bolt on the swing keel had wiggled and created a gap. I need to fix this problem before I can get her in the water, but I am not sure how to go about fixing it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Swing Keel repair

Here are specs for the M 25': MACGREGOR 25 sailboat specifications and details on sailboatdata.com

I'd guess you will need to drop the center board in order to repair the gap with epoxy/fiberglass cloth and then reinstall the center board and pin.

Getting the board out may be a bit of a challenge. I've heard of people digging a hole underneath their boats in order to create the space in which to drop the board. It would be much easier with a travel lift or some kind of crane though.

Pictures of the gap in question would be nice.

Good luck.
