good yanmar mechanic in Vancouver?

The brand new in 2011 yanmar in my boat isn't. Probably a 96, I want to get it inspected and figure out what I'm dealing with, the seller and I need to resolve this and I want to know where I stand to sort things out fairly.

I do all my own work so I can't help you there, sorry.. but I've put out a call to someone who used to use a guy on G.I. - will get back if I hear.

Re: good yanmar mechanic in Vancouver?

I'm going to do the work, but not knowing what if anything has been maintained in the last 16 years. I'd like to find out if I've got a decent engine that I was sold as a new engine, or a lump of scrap, the previous owner and I will be meeting to resolve the issues around the sale as well. Based on other "repairs" I'm concerned unless the engine was an exception. I'd rather have it on paper one way or the other.
