eek! the hose will melt! the flue gases are well above 300 degrees!

Gas fired equipment is rated in AFUE What is AFUE? | WebHVAC.com

Also I would look for AGA stamps (american gas assoc) and or LPGIA for propane.
Of course marine use is not approved, you already know that

ok, the 'eek' I get. Cancel that idea. Thanks for the info...nothing at all wrong with stainless steel anyway...
As for Brian - that was a really, REALLY cruel thing to say. I'll think about you next winter while I'm in the Bahamas and then Cuba...and you're at work?
