Dodger design for a Hunter28.5

Is there anyone out there who has built or had built a dodger on a Hunter 28.5 sloop? I''m in the design stage of constructing one myself and the mainsheet is so close to the companionway entrance, it looks like the mainsheet will be forced into the dodger when sailing on a run or downwind?
Your input will be appreciated
