Volvo parts???

John232,

I just bought my Santana 35 with that engine in it, and though it surveyed well, I don''t have any actual experience with it yet. I''ll keep you in mind as time and events pass.

Volvo parts???

Not familiar with the Volvo 7 series but a year ago spent too much time finding parts for MD2''s and MD2B''s.
I concluded the end of the rainbow for parts was French Creek Marina in Clayton, NY. http://www.frenchcreekmarina.com/
Talk to "Wilbur" in Parts/Service. He new my engine inside and out. In the MD2 case it is obsolete and he has sources for Rods, pistons, bearings, gaskets etc. many are made by new machine shops. They also bought up most of the stock available from others over the years. The downside for me was the high cost of these rings & rods, going back into an old block, drove me to biting bullet on a new Yanmar 2GM20F.

Try Kipfmiller''s in Bay City, MI. They are extremely friendly and helpful. I rebuilt my MD30A this summer and they were very patient with me!
