Rest of boat was painted by previous owner so I thought that would be best. I am in the process of painting the deck and cockpit this season so I will just prime the lid, paint edges with gloss paint and the field with non-skid.

I have the same model (Hull# 29). I still have the orginal hatch cover and will shoot a pic and post. Mine is in need of work as well. The four corner bolt design is a bit odd and based on the age of the boat, I am guessing that certain mods have been done since the original construction in '72.
