Any experience with the SPM peel and stick sound barrier tiles? They appear rather expensive. Any other ideas on a superior sound insulation?

Sound insulation IS expensive. We have had poor performance with another product as far as self-stick is concerned. It might be best to think of the self-stick as something to use while you get the mechanical fastenings installed. The dirt, vibrations, and weight of any insulation will unstick just about anything.
