Are winch handles all the same? Lewmar and Barient?

Hello,

My boat has all Lewmar winches, 1984 vintage. I just got a really nice restored Barient 16 on Ebay (about the same age? Pure guesswork). Going to use it with my new setup where the reefing lines come back to the cockpit.

Now I am wondering if the winch handles for the Lewmars will fit the Barient? Does anyone know if they're all the same?

Thanks!

There are some differences... but they all pretty much fit. Some are square, other 8 pointed like the winch sockets.. some of the locking handles have easier-to-use releases. Very few of them float!!!

Lewmar one touch handles don't fit Barients very well.

My main winch handles are Schaefer, which are 8 pointed I think. Sounds like they'll work fine then.
