Adhesives for flexible PVC (Plasteak)

I'm in the process of replacing the trim on my Olson 30 with Plasteak and I didn't think to ask them about adhesives (since I'm bolting most of it in place). I'm thinking of sealing at least the stern toe rail with a bead of something, but not sure what would actually adhere to this stuff.. it seems rather slippery. I'd rather avoid 3M 4200, but would a polysulfide (like Lifecaulk) work, or maybe plain old silicone?

Plumbing adhesive for PVC pipes. Two part system, 1st part cleans and primes the surfaces, 2nd part is an adhesive that welds the two pieces. Clamp the two pieces for a few minutes and it is done.

Just be careful as the primer/cleaner will leave a purple surface stain.

Try it without the primer?

There is clear primer available, just have to look for it. Also white cement available for pvc fencing that does not require a primer.

Re: Adhesives for flexible PVC (Plasteak)

Are you referring to using the caulk between the Fiberglas and the plasteak to supplement the fasteners? You are looking for something to stick to Fiberglas and plasteak. Just wanted to be sure; I don't know the answer either.
