Silva Nexus Multi instrument setting

Our yacht has Silva Nexus Classic instrumentation with three multi instruments and a dedicated wind instrument.
The Multi instruments can be set to Speed, Depth, Navigate, or Wind readings... and two of them (Speed and Navigate) stay at those settings on power-up, but the third we use for Depth always reverts to Speed on start-up. Since the others have somehow stayed at there preferred settings, there must be a way to set an instrument to a preferred default ... but the manual loses a bit in translation, and I can't find the answer... can anyone help before I go nuts?

Re: Silva Nexus Multi instrument setting

Have you tried to re-initialize the "rogue" instrument?

Each instrument is given a unique number. Problems can occur if two instruments have been allocated the same number. Your manual should give instructions on how to re-initialize the instrument but if you can't find those instructions, re-post and I'll see if I can find the documentation.

Re: Silva Nexus Multi instrument setting

Many thanks for your quick reply. I won't be back on the boat until next week, and will try your suggestion. The instrument works fine, and I can set it to the function I want, but it always reverts to Speed at the next start-up. I was wondering if a re-initialize would help... but was a bit wary of trying it in case I stuffed something else up. Will let you know.
