Izzy .... slightly off topic but in excess of 300' of chain on a 34'er sounds a tadge excessive to me. Maybe you have a specific reason for that but our heavy 34' steeler ran 120' chain plus the same of rope. Had we not moved on I'd have increased that to 150' of each but more chain than that in a smalll boat is for mine excessive unless you are planning on anchoring in some pretty hostile locations.
