What are these sailboat parts?

Hi,
I'm a non-sailboat person that has some sailboat parts I need identified. Our artificial reef association is cleaning a steel hulled sailboat to be used as an artificial reef. While cleaning the hull, I removed these parts for recycling. However, I have no idea what they are or the value of the parts. Any help would be appreciated.
The big yoke is off the rudder shaft, and is brass. The pulley wheels are brass, and the other things (maybe a "clutch"?) are stainless steel.

Thanks, Sea-r-cy

Re: What are these sailboat parts?

They are parts to the steering system.

The stainless "clutch" is a line stopper.

And thank you for your work.

two steering quadrants, three pulleys (probably for the steering system) and a double line clutch. Probably no economic value except to the one guy looking for that particular item.

Thanks for the information. I'll add these to my "neat nautical items" collection. Sea-r-cy

They're almost certainly bronze, not brass as well.

That is what I was going to say. and I agree if you found someone who needed it (unlikely) is the only way it would have any value to someone. Good luck.

Good chance the quadrants and pulleys from Edson. One of the pulleys has cast A-450 on it. If you can find the casting numbers you could cross reference at Edson website. Also could be Buck Algonquin quadrants.
