Pole Mounts

The PO of my boat mounted the solar panel off of the stern with poles clamped to the aft pulpit stanchion posts with spacers between. I have been trying to find a better mounting soultion.

I would like 1" to 1" mounting clamps of some sort but can't find anything like this. Does anyone know were I can find them?

Attached is a picture of the existing mounts. Hope you can see them.

Re: Pole Mounts

Hmmm, could make em out of G10. Maybe with a bolt between the two 1" cutouts to hold em together.

Re: Pole Mounts

What exactly do you have a problem with? It doesn't look to bad in the photos. If you want a better spacer you could make them using a 1" hole saw to cut 1" square or round tubing in a drill press so that you have two half rounds on a short piece if tubing. Then if you don't like hose clamps, you could use Band-It or Punch-lok style band clamps which are permanent and don't have a screw or band tail sticking out.

Re: Pole Mounts

The mainsail mount works well for me BUT with the amount of canvas you have UP i think it needs to stay in its current home

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat
