Hi, I purchased a Balmar 6 series alternator for the Westerbeke 55A engine. Unfortunately the pulley is too far back by less than a 1/2 inch and the belt is hitting the nut on the tension rod. Balmar suggested a new pulley which will give me just the right angle. Does anyone have experience with romoving the pulley and replacing it? I would like a some advice...is it necessary to have this done with pneumatic impact wrench or has anyone done this by hand?
Thank you,
Sailor Chris
