Source for dorade cowling

All of the cowlings for my Mason 43 were stolen. I'm looking for a source to replace them. I'm braced for sticker shock. Any leads on a reasonably priced source would be greatly appreciated. Given that the boat was built in Taiwan, the originals were probably made there. Thanks.

Some of the secondhand and consignment shops, like Sailorman in FLL should be able to locate cowls for you at way less than new prices.

I sold 2 of them to Minney's Yacht Surplus a couple of months ago and they ship anywhere.

How do the ABI vents compare quality wise ? They seem exceptionally well priced compared to the Vetus product which is wow expensive but also wow quality.

And sww's sweet chariot is also Taiwanese boat -- a Vagabond 39! (...although that pilothouse kind of detracts from the lines of what would otherwise be one fabulous looking old shoe )

Note: Por Fin is a Vag 39 trunk cabin, not a pilot house

I think this is just like with anchors. The galvanized anchor will probably last about as long as a stainless steel anchor, but, they are on different planets how they look.

Re: Source for dorade cowling

ABI has been out of the marine business for about 2 years. If someone has stock great, but that has mostly disappeared by now.

Re: Source for dorade cowling

I talked to SailBoatStuff yesterday and they have another supplier with vents similar to ABI and can get as many as you need.
