New Mattresses and Linens (4 cabins)

Hello

About to close on a leopard 47. Where can I buy new mattresses and linens for the boat? Any online store? Any recommendations? Boat is in Florida for the moment.

Best.

Googling "yacht mattresses" brings up a whole bunch of hits.

Yes thank you. I was hoping for personal experience with the companies.

Re: New Mattresses and Linens (4 cabins)

I've been hunting for replacements for my boat as well.
So far, I've learned a few things:
The foam you use for seats needs to be firmer than what you use exclusively to sleep on.
I've read that people have bought Ikea foam matresses and cut them to size, but they're wickedly expensive--around a grand.
The local matress places that are most helpful all point me towards a local place that sells foam in sheets. I'll probably end up buying from them but they aren't set up to let you lie down on a sheet of it to see what it feels like.
I'll probably go with urethane for the interior, and not latex, which is around 3 times the price. I read in Casey's book that latex is important for outside cushions, though.
The other thing I'm learning is that I'll probably get something around 6 inches thick for matresses I sleep on--forepeak and quarterberth. So I'll sacrifice some headroom there in favor of a good night's sleep.
Good luck.
