Finally finished the interior refit

Started in March, then the arrival of a puppy sort of took some time out of the project. Anyway, we finally finished the refit of the interior this evening!
So she's now got:
New foam everywhere
New upholstery everywhere
New curtains
New magazine /TP holder
New v-berth/head privacy curtain
New full length rails for hanging storage lockers
Dual-position table modifications
All fire extinguishers fitted properly

I have to say it is a massive improvement, she's gone from a typical plaid 70's cruiser to something a lot more modern. We've still got a couple of little bits to do (some cushions), but very pleased with the result.
I know, this thread is useless without pictures but photobucket is messing around and won't let me upload anything at the moment.

A refit project that was actually finished? Of course, there are no pics of this mysterious evasive creature. Admit it, there is something you didn't finish or never got to.

Congrats. :)

I know, I know. And of course it's not quite finished, I mean it is a boat project after all. I still need to find/make some covers and a few other bits and pieces, but it is mostly done.

Didn't realize that the older C&C s used the tartan plaid up hostelry like the Catalina's did. My wife is currently redoing our cushions and foam. 6 done 18 more to go.

Let's see some pictures. What color to go with that bright "Tangerine" color.

OK, so here is how she looked before:
Note the hideous curtains which not only looked horrid, but they didn't open, the table blocking access to the v-berth and the distinct lack of storage. Oh and the plaid of course.

And here she is now!

V-berth, with new blackout hatch cover and hanging paper/manual/TP holder ($2 from the thrift store). Plus all new foam and upholstery.

Starboard berth, with new foam/upholstery, new curtains, full-length rail and hanging locker in the aft position

Starboard berth with hanging locker in forward position

We have 2 sets of the hanging lockers so plenty of storage now, plus all the manuals etc are hidden away in the rack thing up in the v-berth.
Looking forward with the table in the new athwartships position, much easier to get to the v-berth now, and the table is way more usable for things other than eating on. The sail is actually tucked out of the way under the table.

Few bits still to do to tidy up the cabin roof mostly, and we are making some throw cushions from the original plaid just to keep a bit of the original in there.
We're so pleased with how it all turned out, it's made a massive difference to her abilities as a compact cruiser, and everything simply removes over winter or when I want to strip her down to go fast.

On and also, in the first picture is the original dividing curtain between the cabin and v-berth, ugly old canvas thing with a full-length zip that was pretty much impossible to use. Now replaced with a nice drop-down curtain that is easily lowered and raised from either side.

Looks awesome dude! Your cushions are a lot nicer than mine.

But where's the booze?
