Who made these shackles?

Ran across a couple of nice used stainless steel swivel snap shackles at a garage sale. They're 3-1/2" long with a 5/8" ID eye and a 3/4" ID bail. On both shackles, the body, where the pin for the swivel goes in, is stamped "N" on one side and "U" on the other. On one of the shackles, the base of the swiveling bail is stamped "B" on both sides. The other shackle, which has a slightly shorter bail, is unmarked in that area.

I don't recognize these as manufacturer's marks -- can anybody tell me who made them? Thanks in advance for any help.
