Combo Washer and Dryer... Vented or not ?

We have a Splendide washer and dryer. The water solenoids are not working as they should, There is some corrosion nothing real bad that can't be fixed but the Admiral is not happy about it so... Christmas will come early and we will replace it.
The drying cycle was never appreciated and she prefer hanging the clothes with the fans On and the dehumidifier.
We have a Hunter 450 and I'm questioning where could we install the vent ? Saw from forums that a vented one is more efficient. My concern is not about water usage we have a large 45 gals/hour watermaker. Just trying to keep the Admiral happy..
By the way we are in Fort Pierce and if someone want a good deal on a used Splendide Dirt cheap but you will supply elbow grease to get it out and the new in.

I have a vented one and although I can't compare dry time to a non-vented one. The vented one still sucks.

Have you ever seen the rotted siding next to the dryer vent on a house. I would be concerned about hot humid steam causing other trouble.

We also have the non-vented. We try to use as much micro-fiber as possible, which dries very easily. For other items, we run the dry cycle for the shortest period (I can't recall if its 20 or 30 mins). If you take it out warm, it seems to dry faster when hung up.

The bigger problem is the units are very small and its easy to overload them. Overloading really takes forever to dry. In fact, if you do dry cottons in an overloaded drier, they come out wrinkled and creased. Nothing ever tumbles around.

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.
