Profurl boomkicker repair

Can anyone explain how to repair profurl rigid vang. I cannot figure how to even open it. It is rivert closed at both ends. There is one plastic part that looks as if it might unscrew but not sure. Please help "Thanks"

I can't find any info on a boom vang made by Profurl.. are you sure that's the brand? If you post a picture when you can someone might be able to identify it.

Garhauer, Forespar, Spinlock, Schaeffer, and others produced them, but I don't seem to be able to find any by Profurl, whose sole product line looks to be furlers.

I am sure it is profurl it came with in boom furling system

OK.. I've found the installation manuals (for the furling systems) on line but not much help there.. they do have a tech help page, maybe send them a note directly...

Thanks for your help faster. I think captbillc, may have repaired one. I tried to contact him but site won't let me. I am a newbie to this stuff. Thanks to all whom have contributed so far...

Boomkicker is a name brand. If you indeed have a Boomkicker, check Boomkicker
