I just check your Boat Gallery... My Oh My.. What a Labor of Love You have Experienced.

I see that you have/ are doing major/ major repairs/ rebuilding. I think, my reworking the Rudder or Strength (accessment) of 42 year old mast.. as the highest level of my repairs on the I37.

The second picture looks like an insulator from an HF antenna. Any other indications that there may have been an HF radio installed in the past?

I have one fulltime job that takes me out ofthe country 15 days a month and two part time jobs when I am home. Working on Kompira is therapy, the only thing I do just for me.

Or it's sheer insanity. Not sure which

This is an insulator on the backstay for an old UHF radio. They were very common in the seventys. I don't know how well the insulators hold up over the years. If that is the original backstay, it probably should be replaced.
