I guess you could use one filter at time and have 100hrs of operation of the engine sounds good

Could you use your 1/4" hose to connect to the 75500 MAC2 fittings are 3/4"

If you replace the clear plastic bowl with Racor's optional metal bowl I believe it will meet the standards....

I agree with metal bowl if you can get it, but then you loose the ability to see if any water is in the bowl

I glad that I measure space for filter I will not have room for the 500MA2 Filter so back to drawing board looking at RACOR 230 RM2 now metal bowel meets specs

Not quite correct.

The metal heat shield is an addition to, and does not replace, the see-through plastic bowl. You can still see the bottom of the unit to know if you've got water or nasties down there.

Bummer that you don't have room for the 500 -- they're great filters.

Be aware when you buy a Racor 230 MA2 filter body had to get two units sent to me with filter installed on filter unit filters did not were not installed properly with no fuel on o rings we were unable to remove filter so I recommend people to check that filter can be removed
