hatch repair

My forward hatch needs to be fixed.
You can see the criss cross patterns of the fiberglass and the finish is worn and rough. what are the materials and best way to correct this problem.

Thanks

hatch repair

you could always shop for a new hatch. I replaced my origional foward hatch on an O''Day 22 with a hatch that I got on ebay for $100. Just make sure that it is at least the same size or an inch or so bigger.

Or

take the hatch off, with some west system epoxy, put a few coats on the top of the hatch, sand, do it again, sand, do it again, get a good 1 part polyurathane (I used easypoxy) and repain it. Looks almost like new
