Companion way cover

My sliding companion way cover has a crack running from the aft edge for about 4 inches. It is polycarbonate. Does anyone know of a clear drying bonding agent I can use to prevent this crack from running?

Re: Companion way cover

You should probably drill a small hole precisely where the crack ends now... that should stop the spread of it any further. Maybe consult a autoglass shop about injecting a resin like they do with rock chips for windshields.. or take a stab at something similar yourself.

But drill the hole first.

Re: Companion way cover

Thanks Faster.
Going to drill the hole first to keep the crack from running but never thought about a resin. Was going to try some trichlorethlene but I know it is pretty toxic. Maybe the glass shop would be a better/safer idea.
Thanks again.
