Lewmar Winch bolt mounting pattern question

I want to replace a Lewmar #7 winch with a Lewmar #8. Does anyone know if the bolt pattern for mounting is the same for both winches or different?

Re: Lewmar Winch bolt mounting pattern question

According to the first chart on this page:

http://www.pyacht.com/lewmar-winch-specs.htm

The drum and base of the 7 and 8 are the same. I'd bet as a result the bolt pattern is the same as well.

Re: Lewmar Winch bolt mounting pattern question

It may depend on the relative ages of the two. I replaced alloy Lewmar
ST 30's with what appeared to be identical Lewmar ST 30 bronze/chrome.
The diameter was identical, so the new ones fit on the mounting pad OK.
But the holes were slightly different. PITA.
