Bilge Paint in the Head?
I just finished painting my bilge. (Did not enjoy the experience, but since my engine was being pulled for maintenance/repair and I was installing a new stuffing box, I figured now was the time to do it.) Anyway I digress. My question is, I have leftover bilge paint, and I'm looking at peeling paint on the walls of the head and I'm thinking why not use the white bilge paint to paint the head. I used the Interlux which has a nice gloss, seems like it would be easy to clean.
Is this a good or bad idea? |
Re: Bilge Paint in the Head?
That will work for sure...I did the same thing last winter: painted bilge/holds and had left over....painted head looks great, holding up well, and like you had assumed....very simple to clean...

Re: Bilge Paint in the Head?
Thanks, Dolby. It does seem like a good use for bilge paint. Both places tend to get a lot of moisture.
