Rigging shops near Houston, Texas

I am needing some new standing rigging on my sailboat. About half the rigging is 15+ years old and showing signs of the black creep in the stainless cable.

I pulled down one of the lower stays yesterday and will start by either building or having two built for me. These are a bit beefy and I believe are 3/8" which will definitely add to the cost. Due to this, I would really like to go see some parts in person as I'm thinking about doing swageless fittings.

I'm going to be in Houston all week so I thought I'd take the stay with me and see about getting it quoted. Does anyone have a recommendation about rigging shops in the Houston to Galveston area?

I have always used Wholesail Yachting in Buffalo NY, which is in the same building as the marine store where I work. They ship by UPS or USPS (rigging isn't always all that heavy, so freight isn't an issue, regardless of your present location. Send in a sample, and they can duplicate it.

These people have been around for quite a while. They made a duplicate head stay for me. They did a good job and was the exact length. They are in Kemha, Tx the sailing center of the area.

Thanks. I'll give the shop in Kemah a call today. I've the next few years I'm going to replace most of the standing rigging with new so it would be good to have a place I can talk to and out hands on the products they use.
